#ShareTheLoad To Instill Gender Equality in Gen Next!
Women from all over the world are becoming more empowered these days, with more and more girls getting proper education and they are also securing high positions in top companies of the world. But still we have a long way to go to achieve complete Gender Equality.Ā
Over the last 200-300 years, women from all over the world faced different types of discrimination at home and in society in general. While men always get more preference when it comes to giving education in a family, women are forced to get married at early age as they are considered to beĀ a perfect homemaker being household chores as their foremost responsibility.
We all want our kids to grow up to be good human beings, caring and socially conscious people. But that also means we should raise them to believe in & stand up for gender equality at every step of their lives.Ā

Letās discuss how we can promote and instill Gender Equality in Gen Next:
1) It starts with your own home:Ā When kids have unequal rights in their own homes, they will feel that the same divided culture exists in the outside world. So, you need to treat all your children equally whether it is a boy or girl. It is the responsibility of the parent to make a statement at home that how important is Gender equality. That same thinking will pass on by the children to society and their next generation. As they say, one man or woman can change the world by changing their mindset.
2)Ā Teach them that gender is fluid:Ā Gender is one of the very first social categories kids learn when they grow up. But as a parent, it is your duty to teach them that all gender are equal as there is no such thing that men are superior than women.
2) Increasing literacy rates among women: Another important factor that can promote gender equality is to increase literacy rates among women. If more and more girls are getting higher education, they will be placed at higher positions in various companies. This will build a sense of gender equality in the longer run that women are equally intelligent and qualified to achieve as much as a man or even more. So, all parents need to focus to provide higher education to their girls just like they provide to their boys.
4)Ā Consider gender equality when selecting books, toys and clothes for your children: You need to be careful when selecting books or toys or clothes for your kids. As still there are many books in the market that promote gender stereotypes like women are supposed to do household chores or women are not supposed to work, etc. Books or toys or clothes play a very important role in developing your childās behaviour or personality.
5) Encourage your kids to embrace diversity in the society with open heart and mind.
