Idk how anyone could actively get into Homestuck as of right now. Something so fundamental for me was growing up in real time with these kids and going through their journey with them and making the same realizations from their younger selves now.

And also just having the ‘update culture’ and just back when people raced to see who can get a cosplay of a new character/outfit done first. Back when the dash was flooded with just nothing but Homestuck update. 

Before Hiveswap, before we even got to the retconned timeline, all of that just... Man.

Just Homestuck nowadays has such a negative connotation and honestly with good reason. It’s just a sad shell of what it used to be. Even recently trying to reread it, while it was nostalgic, just didn’t feel the same. It made me SAD. Because it really just lost it’s magic for me. And it really is such a product of it’s time ... cringingly so.
