Ok so, I dont listen to Blink 182, so I cant help you there, but Green Day is one of my favorite bands so I can definitely help you with them. I recommend listening to American Idiot first. The whole album is amazing, and started my whole Green Day fiasco. You should definitely watch the musical too if you have the chance, theres lots of recordings on YouTube.
As for just songs you should listen to, Brain Stew and Dilemma are my personal favorites. I also really like One Eyed Bastard, and a lot of people like Basket Case a lot too.
Anyway, yeah. Im the Green Day guy in my friend group, and I highly recommend them.

Wow I was just thinking of making a post on that actually! I don’t think it will take as long, although I do have quite a busy final month of my master’s ahead of me.
I’m aiming for another update this month. I’ve made a small start, I know what the outline is gonna be and where I want the chapter to end, that kinda stuff. The only question is if I’ll have to split the chapter in two or not. I’ll probably do that if it takes me too long to get the whole chapter out because I don’t want to keep you all waiting as long as chapter 19. I still feel so bad abt thatðŸ˜ðŸ˜
