CONFESSION:

My favorite antagonist for Mass Effect  Andromeda was Akksul. I just prefer sympathetic villains instead of second rate cartoonish ones .  While I did agree he needed to be stopped because he was posing a threat to his own people, I could not hate him.  I felt bad for him.  I just followed Jaal's lead and  even saw the regret on Akksul's face after firing that shot.  And everybody just walking away leaving Akksul alone was just so fitting.  And the e-mail Akksul sent Ryder was the perfect final touch.  That proverb really resonated with me. The whole Akksul/Roekaar Arc was one of the best parts of the game.

This means the fanfics are not dead! But my blogging and writing activities have diversified, I’m in full time writer mode—more on this at some point in the future. Obviously, I’ve stopped posting pretty stuff since a while, and I’m not planning to continue that anytime soon, but when I do start posting writing here again, specifically fanfics will still be reblogged to my standalone Gwyvian’s Library, that sub is dedicated to this particular niche of the craft, but otherwise new and shiny written things might just appear here. Totally randomly.

That’s out of the way, so now what I want to know is this: do Evfra and Akksul still have fans out there? Do you want me to do something about it? How about all the other insane nonsense knocking around in my brain, generally ME-related or otherwise? Well, I don’t know! I’ve been inspired to write all sorts of fics lately, and it’s true I’m balancing this with more serious writing I may actually be paid for (wouldn’t that be a great plot twist!), but fics give me something other writing does not. It gives me you guys.

I can’t make promises. I can’t update like I used to back in the day on a daily basis. But that doesn’t mean I won’t dedicate some time to this here and there because I still love it!

“Well, no harm in figuring it out.”

“That’s not always true.”

She sighed. “Yeah, I suppose. But maybe it’s better than hiding in your house all the time.”

Maggie grinned. “No. I just…know what it’s like to isolate away from everyone.”
