Thank you so much! I thought a while on how to try answering this, but it really is just a bit of a boring answer. Practice practice!!
For learning anatomy, figure drawings help majorly. I was in a art fundamentals class for just one year (which isn't feasible for everyone understandably) but there are youtube videos of figure drawing poses or online databases available. Don't pressure yourself to draw for an hour a day, forcing it too often can lead to burnout. And short timed figure drawings are best to start with - spending too much time on one figure leads to you overdoing it, and you'll lose the basic structure of the form trying to perfect it.
Of course one art hack I subscribe heavily to is that you can do whatever you want. There is no absolute art rule that you much ALWAYS adhere to. Doing figure drawings/studies helps learn the fundamentals, but then once you've got that down, you can stretch things and make them as inaccurate as you'd like. That's what style is about!
And above all have fun!! Be silly!! And make whatever sparks interest :)
