Aiyu trees depend on aiyu wasps and vice versa.

All the aiyu wasps are born inside of male aiyu flowers. Only the female ones fly out.

When the wasp flies into a male flower, she'll birth and produce more wasps, but this flower will not get pollenated. When she flies into a female flower, due to the structure of the flower, she will not get to produce, but the flower gets pollenated and will bear fruit which, by rubbing its seeds together, a gel will be produced. This gel becomes a jello-like substance when set. This is how we get Aiyu Jelly.
