This is your first feature in this magazine. First of all, would you like to introduce yourself?

Nice to meet you, I’m Aitsuki Nakuru! I’ve been on the internet for around 10 years, and I live to enjoy things like singing and acting.  I love music with beautiful, yet somewhat dark settings, so I am primarily focused on producing original songs as well as covering them. I’ve only recently acquired a form that can move virtually just like a VTuber, so I only have a short history with this concept (I call my virtual form a ‘concept’) and feel like a beginner. It’s a pleasure to be here.

Your 1st LIVE “Qualimstella” is going to be on 2024 Feb 4th. Did you have any particular feelings when it was decided, points you would like for us to pay attention to, and what you are anticipating?

Since the moment that it was decided, the idea of me performing a solo concert still seemed so unrealistic to me, and I have been floundering about it. Do I really do it…  Having a long history with music for me meant having a lot of original work, so I was troubled by the difficulties that come with deciding on the kind of set list. I want the concert to be fun for people who have always supported me, along with the people who only recently learned about me! For a long time it has always been me singing into the mic alone, and this time I would like to look at everyone as I diligently perform both my and their favorite songs.

Apart from focusing on music, you seem to be active in TRPG (Tabletop Role Playing Games) and voice acting work, etc. Is there anything you would like to do in the future, or any new challenges you would like to attempt?

Like TRPGs, manga and novels where they are not based on my own ideas, I would like to make music for works created by other people! Like a theme song… Up until now, my stories have been completed within myself, so doing that will also expand my creative horizons.

From all of the songs you have released up until now, which ones do you feel “I really want you to listen to this!” for people who have never heard your music?

FAKE IDOL: A song about the feelings of a sparkling girl with a two-faced personality. It’s very popular!

Indigrotto: An important song that has lyrics containing what Aitsuki Nakuru is about.

This was actually fun to come up with ways translate and to keep the tune! Kabocha’s lines are also in tune if you try to read it as fast as it’s being said

As with many of my TLs I try to keep the lyrics "singable" so this is the outcome! But obviously if anyone comes up with better phrasing I will replace if necessary~

I kept 「愛して穢して満たしなさい」 as is, the same as the official concert's slogan in English which is printed on merch as "Love me, defile me, fill me."

青リンゴ can also be "green apple" but it's blue in the MV so I used "blue apple" (it's poisoned anyway)

With many of my TLs, I try to keep the lyrics "singable" so this is the outcome! But obviously, if anyone comes up with better phrasing I will replace it if necessary~

— Like the MV, the song has two "vocalists/protagonists", and in the FTL I clarified them with 💙 (Nakuru's lower pitch) and 🤍 Nakuru's higher pitch). The "mirror" in this song has 💙's reflection to be 🤍 and vice versa, towards the end where two verses have both vocals, it's implied they both become a singular entity - and from MV: where the two connect through the mirror.

I hope I could convey the emotions and meaning from the lyrics, please reply any corrections needed!

What part of the song do you like the best?

⚜️ Natsume Itsuki: The ending of the first chorus, where the three of us sing in sequential order (richromatic-prayer 1:13)

🪼 Aitsuki Nakuru: The introduction, initially starting with Nakuru and Nayuta, and Itsuki tying the verse together (richromatic-prayer)

The most difficult part of the song to sing?

⚜️ Natsume Itsuki: The chorus! I worked hard to sing with my natural voice in a high pitch

How was the studio recording session this time?

⚜️Natsume Itsuki: With Kusano-san personally directing us, I really learned a lot!

🌸 nayuta: Listening carefully to the other member’s vocals, I was nervous from start to end for this opportunity 

How did you feel about the other members' recordings?

⚜️Natsume Itsuki: With me being the recording anchor, I was scared when we were given difficult directions

🪼Aitsuki Nakuru: Everyone sang so well, that the recording was done so quickly

🌸nayuta: Itsuki’s power in her singing is so wildly different and overwhelming!

What is important during a studio recording session?
