That'snot even the woRST

first day of class i told her my major is womens studies and she pretty much asked me not to speak too much in discussion because she doesnt want my knowledge to intimidate other classmates (like i fucking care????? this is my major and just an elective for everyone else in the class im the one getting the most out of this its going to be my caREER I MEAN COME ON WHY WOULD YOU TELL ME TO NOT BE ACTIVE IN THE CLASS OF THE CAREER PATH IM CHOOSING????? like asking a freaking political science major not to be too active in government class discussions because "youre too smart and know too much" gtfo)

i walk into class yesterday and first thing she asks me is if i want to be a group leader and i reply"not particularly" and she keeps pushing asking me why not so I told her i was sick and she goes "oh (laugh) 'im sick dont bother me' okay i understand but i think youd be a good group leader" and im like ok cool but i still dont want to

then this guy yoan goes "more knowledge doesnt always make a good leader either" (which i totally agree with) then she asked what makes a good leader and she was just being obnoxious about the whole thing

also i asked yoan if he was a leader and he said yeah and that he chose me which was cool because hes actually really smart, but hes not on the same page as me with all the feminism stuff (hes not sexist but hes not feminist either idrk but hes smart and not a jackass so im glad to be on his team) and he said he wanted someone with opposing views as him (which we have on a few things which we discussed in previous classes but it was civil because he wasnt being ignorant so i wasnt getting mad bc i get angry when i talk to ignorant people its a problem im working on it)

just ugh the class is so annoying and this huge rant is probably not the reply you were looking for im just frustrated

i mean i dont want to sound like i dont respect her as a professor because she knows a lot about the subject and its obvious, i just really hate her teaching style. I like the fact that she gets us to discuss as groups I just dont like that she isnt really telling us anything, shes just making all of us have uninformed (mostly anyway) conversations then repeating the question "How do you know what you know?" 5000000 times

then straight up telling us NOT TO BELEIVE THE TEXT THAT SHES TEACHING US FROM
