Live A Live is $20 on Steam til March 19th 2026
EDIT: Sale got extended to March 26th 2026 cuz of the Spring Sale lmaooo
and there's a demo so you can try it first! :]
it's easy to throw around words like "peak" and "changed my life" etc etc, but it's in the same ball park as Outer Wilds and Ghost Trick, where you kinda can't talk about why because of the ending
for a broad selling point though, i will say; the game excels in storytelling through gameplay mechanics rather than outright exposition. it's a good game to sit down alone with and analyze the details. also, the voice acting is honestly S tier (coming from a guy very picky about voice acting)
someday i wanna hijack a PA system at like a grocery store or a costco and play End Times from Outer Wilds on the speakers, and see how many people have a kneejerk reaction to it
the sundown kid
i like the
he is very
i enjoy his
he :)
close enough, welcome back oboromaru live a live

by the way, my two favorite games of the last decade are on sale rn, so i am going to be annoying about them again:
Live A Live is $20 until Dec 2 2025
(~35 hours, anthology of 8 mini rpg stories that all meet up at the end. octopath is the spiritual successor to this game. there's so much variety that even if one chapter doesn't click with you, another one surely will.)
Ghost Trick is $10 until Dec 1 2025
(~12 hours if you know the puzzles, closer for ~17-20 hours if you don't. Rube Goldberg Machine The Game, but with a banger late 2000s cartoon/mystery vn attached)
the endings of both of these games changed my brain chemistry, and are genuinely impressive feats of storytelling in terms of foreshadowing and set up. please give them a chance if you're looking for some character-rich storytelling! and if you can, go into them as blind as possible!!
being in so many different fandoms and having so many different interests is crazy sometimes
like "hey i know you followed me for live a live, you're getting back to the future now. oh, you followed me for ghost trick? sorry, time for king's quest. and every damn last one of you has to put up with the ocs, whenever they appear" (they are cryptids at this point unfortunately)
just
hang on, gotta take my medication
