I replied to the first part of this ask here, but then it took me forever to decide how to reply to the "𝒿𝓊𝒸𝓎 𝒹𝑒𝓉𝒶𝒾𝓁𝓈" part, because I was just so excited about it. So here are the (maybe?) 𝒿𝓊𝒸𝓎 𝒹𝑒𝓉𝒶𝒾𝓁𝓈 I came up with.

✨A little summary of the relationship between Strahd and Aiden ✨

Strahd and Aiden, at their core, are both ancient undead beings. But Aiden has been reborn in this new, mortal form and is a rather young one, missing his ancient memories.

There is a connection between them, a gut feeling and mutual understanding. But also a certain imbalance.

When Aiden and his group visited Ravenloft for the first time, Strahd (quite literally) looked into Aiden's head, gaining a vision of his past and true being. So right now Strahd knows more about Aiden than anybody else - more than himself even.

And he is using this knowledge to keep Aiden close, dangling it in front of him without revealing it. A promise to guide him to understanding it when he is ready.

Aiden, ever hungry for knowledge, finds this treatment INFURIATING, but sees Strahd as his key to finally understanding where he comes from. And also has made it his personal mission to find out every single detail he can get about this horrible man, trying to tip the scales and not let him have the upper hand.

So both of them are constantly overstepping boundaries, causing each other trouble. There is this pull they both feel to each other, fondness and excitement. And this use both of them still have for the other. This intimate, but adversarial relationship that is building up.

And of course, it is bound to turn more and more intimate in the future.
