Shin, too, was looking out over the horizons, but for some time she had been distant, annoyed and tired. Baylan knew it was because she had returned, alone and upset, saying that the other mercenary had been killed by Ahsoka Tano.
When he looked at her again, he saw Shin smiling and...doing a strange position with her arms.
What's wrong with her? Baylan thought.
A voice echoed through the force.
There's nothing wrong with her, she's safe with me.
That voice....Marrok?

-Shin, I know you liked him a lot but we have to go.
-I don't want to go.... not without him...Marrok...
- I'm sorry, Shin, but he's dead now. Why do you mourn his death? He was just a mercenary.
- He wasn't just a mercenary... He was my friend... My best friend...
With Marrok's death in the series. I imagined Shin crying, holding the mask close to her, remembering all the good memories she'd had with him. And Baylan Skoll not understanding his apprentice's pain.

Marrok and Shin set off on a mission into a forest and ended up by a river, where Shin thought of shouting a bridge with a trunk using the force.
But she felt her body being lifted and found herself directly on Marrok's back, who didn't hesitate to carry her across the river.
Shin rolled her eyes but allowed herself to be taken in by this unexpected but benevolent gesture.
