do you ever have days where you're almost convinced the universe is tormenting you and giggling?
In Rift there's this one level where it's this abandoned town full of feral cats and also monsters and there's this froofy noble lady who is all MY BABIES MY BABIES I CAN'T FIND MY BABIES and I'm sure it'll turn out fine and I already caught a ton of them to be rat catchers for the bunker so they'll be safe but there's CATS getting stuck with MONSTERS and apparently fictional polygonal cats what all look the same distress me more than burying freshly killed humans do (i see one cat sprawled out all lazy in one of the crumbly abandoned houses and whisper "stay safe lil' guy")
And last night I had a ton of bad dreams stacked on top of each other about hurt cats and dying cats and not being able to do anything about it (unrelated to Rift, mind, I knew these cats personally and it's a dumb reoccuring dream thing)
And then I listened to Welcome to Nightvale in the car and it was the episode where the radiostation cat is in distress I nearly started crying in the car and I feel kinda bad for the person who did the weather for this episode because I'm pretty sure lots of people fast forwarded past the song
and I dunno I kinda feel like I've been sternum punched about a million times and also like somebody wadded my heart up and threw it in a sad wastebasket and the point of all this is I need a hug.
