@ahazathāĀ hit the ā” for a starter!
Ā āāÆā āHanguang-Jun!ā called the juniorās voice down the side of the mountain path heād been hurrying along before remembering himself ā it was against the rules to run and shout, but heād always been an excitable one; he hoped his senior would not begrudge him too terribly.Ā
Ā Ā He huffed a little, veering off the path and down along the back hill, nearly losing his footing on a rock or two and wobbling his gangly frame down into the small pasture where the man resided with his rabbits. āHanguang-Jun,ā he panted, giving the other a polite bow before catching his breath with a hand on his knee. āWe just got news of a Night Hunt ā a big one ā and some of us Juniors are being assigned to it, but we need a senior cultivator to oversee the mission,ā the rabbits had begun sniffing curiously around his ankles, knowing that people often meant food, and in lieu of sustenance began to nibble on the hem of his robes. He grumbled lowly to himself, hiking up his robes and reaching out to pluck a leaf of cabbage from Hanguang-Junās basket, waving it at them like a man might wave a piece of meat at a hungry lion to distract it.Ā
Ā āI thought, since Senior Wei is away for the week, that you might like to join us?ā there was a note of something hopeful, maybe a little bashful to his tone, though it was quickly washed away as a rabbit bit his fingertips that held the last of the cabbage leaf a bit too firmly in his distraction. He recoiled with a hiss.āāÆā
