This morning i was surprised by a notification from medscape which saying a new guideline for hypertension. And it said based on AHA 2017, systole 130-139 and/or diastole 80-89 is already characterized as hypertension stage 1. It seems like i just read JNC7 yesterday and now we have new guideline, haha kms. The problem is our health insurance still uses the old guideline, and the number or hypertension patients will be increasing fast like a jet plane because of this new guideline.
