oh my god I hate this one even more than you do probably. Most of fanon Lith.uania is just kind of terrible. Most of fanon aph is just kind of terrible honestly
I mean, that’s not to say that he doesn’t cry. Like, he does, and he doesn’t believe there’s anything weak about crying, but the emotions that he’s feeling have to be very, very strong to elicit such a response from him.
Not only that, but he also tends to conceal his emotions, (again, not because he thinks of it as a weakness, but because he doesn’t like people fussing over him).
It really is illogical, like he was born a warrior, outlasted the rest of his Baltic cousins, and has been fighting for the majority of his life. I feel like he might have been when he was very young, when he still represented one of the Baltic tribes, but he definitely had to learn to quickly toughen up in order to survive.

misconception: she's helpless in a fight (i don't think this but I've heard people say it)

I’d say this honestly depends on the type of fight we’re talking about here. She’s not physically strong in the slightest so one might deem her helpless in that aspect if she’s in a fist fight -- thing is though -- she’s always had a tactful thinking process so if she couldn’t be on the offense she’d choose defense.
And I mean -- I’ve already previously discussed that it’d be ludicrous that Holy Rome would leave her helpless and without the proper lessons to defend herself. She never particularly excelled in any particular way concerning offense lessons but she took them to heart so it’s not like she can’t switch into the mindset of a seasoned fighter.
If we’re talking about an argument sort of fight then she’d be the exact opposite really -- she tends to keep a clear mind as stated in canon and she chooses her words and argument carefully.
Thing is though it’s rare she gets into such a situation -- you can very easily call her a pacifist and that tends to get people thinking that she can’t handle a fight because of it. And she’s known to be physically weak but in no way does that mean she’s helpless in a fight.
