2 X D O P E The difference between the older Pista GP and new Pista GP R are small but noticeable. Besides the difference in aesthetics of the vents, spoiler and new Pinlock visor, the fit is better with the new helmet. I like the way it feels on with the new interior material and how it sits on my face higher than the older model. Can't really tell the difference in weight despite the thicker visor and hydration system. You must remember also that this helmet is built for racing, not everyday street riding. If you can't stand extreme then you should look into the Corsa R for your street riding needs. I'd like to share a few key points on the new @agvhelmets Pista GP R helmet. Before I do that let me speak on the initial feel of wearing the helmet for the first time. The improved interior design and material make it feel more supported on my head, it feels as if you're not wearing a helmet if that makes sense to say. The visor has been thickened to 5mm to improve rigidity of helmet. New max Pinlock provides 120 edges free visibility along with highest anti-fog performance. Field of vision - 190 degrees horizontal view, 85 degrees vertical view. Ventilation system- intakes placed in highest air pressure points, airflow directed to rider's face for thermal exchange and visor for fogging protection. Larger vents are now made of metal to also increase overall rigidity of helmet. Hydration system - fully adjustable and removable.
