well, once you develop a drawing style, you’re just kind of stuck with it (we both know that, we’ve seen each others art) …and it’s hard to change it otherwise. Unless you somehow figure out how to actually draw a different style

im not even trying to pick up their style though - like look at this comic

i want to know how they make their lines so i can/will/cannot/wont adapt my lines to do similar things

'how do you make your lines look the way they do?"

just complimenting their art wont get me an answer

Why are you drawing flowers?

i drew a really nice shepard with a flowercrown last night

But if there is no sympathy, sadness, or some fear…it won’t be much of a show. And there has been a recent demand on horror and dark TV shows

oh yeah, there has to be sad - it just has to be tempered with happy

one of the central themes to southern gothic (which is a genre i adore and would like to blend into science fiction even if they tend to be kind of exclusive by virtue of setting) is that of the grotesque, of monsters that are twisted from what we consider standard. theres also heavy emphasis on ritual and magic and dark things like that

but the important distinction comes with: we killed the monster, do we feel a) glad this one is gone and we no longer have to deal with it, or b) despair in that we have only killed one monster of many, and weve still got our work cut out for us
