Hi Adam, I want to ask your advice on choosing university in UK. I'm graduating from school this year and I really want to study something related to liberal arts, philosophy and politics. So any recomendations for student from Eastern Europe?
The most prestigious universities in the UK are Oxford, Cambridge and their Russell Group bedfellows; if your concern is with the reputation of the institution you attend and the economic value of your degree then I think it makes sense to focus there.
Otherwise you have to balance programme content, location, teaching style, institution size, campus/city, urban/rural. I go to a small, not very well known university but I receive very high-quality teaching in very small class sizes and I’ve been given the support and freedom to pursue academic interests beyond undergraduate horizons.
