I know the exact moment I fell in love with shadowgast and it was at Essek’s tower when he and Caleb worked together on the calculations and magical theory necessary for the big ole spell and,
they are just two nerds nerding out and finally finding an equal and the back and forth and suddenly what you say just clicks and it just flows there’s no being an outsider for your interests or the things you talk about being too esoteric and needing to be abstracted and waved away and just
