My parents and I all love the Pendergast novels by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. Every time the three of us get together, we always end up discussing what actor should play Agent Pendergast if they ever adapt more of the novels for films. If you haven't read any of these books, I highly recommend them.
"The Relic," which is the first Pendergast novel has already been adapted into a film. And while it's a pretty good movie, they merged Pendergast and D'Agosta together, so it doesn't count.
What actors do you think could pull of playing Pendergast and why?
My top choices are Robert Downey, Jr. and Michael Fassbender. I think Robert Downey, Jr. could pull of the posture and mannerisms while Michael Fassbender could pull of the looks and probably everything else. His performance in "Prometheus" was fantastic and totally convinced me.
