Looking forward to seeing more Brenda Strong in S5. Hard to imagine a true Lillian redemption arc, and Lena may go through some darkness, but she won’t go bad, but she probably will turn to Lillian in some way. And there is still that unfinished business of why Jeremiah told Alex he was working with Lillian for their family. There’s opportunity to tie up a lot of loose ends from the earlier seasons here.

The campiness of Cryer’s Lex is fantastic and only gets better. I’m also glad we’re gonna see him again, but I do hope they give us a beat or two first. That “My Way” sequence! I adored it. Let’s lean in harder on the camp in the rest of this show, pretty please?

Brainy storyline resolved too easily. But yay, Brainia!

James is pretty sidelined by where we leave him. Let’s keep it that way. I liked his scenes with Kelly this season—they remind me I didn’t hate his character before Guardian. Supportive big brother/boss James is plenty.

On the other hand, J’onn is gonna be central! So here for that!

We gotta come up with a better Alex/Kelly ship name, but I’m at a loss. Coulda done with a little bit more slow burn there, but I’m happy. Azie is fab.

If there was any doubt left in my mind that Kara is a service top & Lena is zaddy, it’s gone now. Kara letting Alex tell her to wait to tell Lena (brotp fail!) was the most bottom-y thing ever.

And finally, Clois parallels continue, so I’m thinking there’s hope, help & compassion for Supercorp shippers ahead.
