30 Uncommon Character Development Questions - Accepting.

Are they a leader, do they prefer to follow, or would they rather just stay on the sidelines altogether?

I feel like it depends on the circumstances and his own level of comfort with it - for example, he would never dream of trying to take over the Phantom Thieves as leader because he knows that Joker has traits that make him better suited to the role - Joker is more prone to thinking things through, Joker usually has a well thought out plan and a strategy, Joker is a lot better at keeping a level head than he is.  He knows that Joker is much better suited for the job so this doesn’t really hurt his pride at all.  He knows exactly what his job is - which is to support the group and be the muscle of the gang and as a friend, to support the others - especially Joker, so he’s proud of being a follower in that sense.

He would probably be feel comfortable coaching others - maybe a track and field team some day or another sports team.  That’s why I always think coach would be such a good future AU job for him, because this is something he can translate his own experiences to and he’s a relatively patient and laid back dude.  I get the sense he’d be a natural sort of big brother and good with kids, able to joke around with them and mess around.  Also as someone who effectively had his own future stolen from him by a shitty adult, he would feel even more motivated to help these kids accomplish their own dreams and notlet his own ego get in the way.

2. Does your character have any noteworthy features? Freckles? Dimples? A scar somewhere unusual? etc.

Joker treads this fine line between ‘easily overlooked’ and ‘Impossible to ignore’, at first glance he doesn’t seem all that noteworthy, he’s an attractive boy who sits gently on the fine line between ‘Handsome’ and ‘Pretty’ in equal measure; His eyes are one of his most unique features. They are intense, he seems almost always to be looking through things, or else, like some bird of prey intent on a rabbit. It makes some people uncomfortable, and can make it difficult for a lot of people to hold eye contact with him at length. They’re also rimmed in very long, dark eyelashes, naturally. His Ann has expressed some degree of jealousy over it before.

He has a few faded scars from his exploits in the metaverse, but the only one you’re liable to notice without getting him undressed is the one on his lower lip; it isn’t incredibly obvious at first or from a distance, but if you get close enough you can just see the line of it where it mars the soft ruddy-pink of his lip. This scar is not from the Metaverse, but from cutting it open on his own teeth being kicked in the face before his interview with Sae. 

     Tired. He’s tired. Not in the emotional sense entirely but more in the sense that Morgana woke him up multiple times the night before, the first two times had been to share important research findings with him, and the third time had been on accident, he’d woken up when the book Morgana was fetching from the shelf had toppled to the ground in a whirlwind of pages and the final heavy thump of impact, Morgana had apologized of course, when Joker had thrown himself out of bed, had nearly toppled the nightstand seeking the weapon he keeps there.

You know. Normal reactions to a falling book.

But the damage had been done and while Joker had insisted to Morgana that it wasn’t an issue and he had been mostly awake anyway, the truth was that now his pulse was simply thrumming too hard to simply return to sleep. So he had left Morgana with a shallow dish of cream to continue reading and had himself emerged into the back alleys around Leblanc from his apartment. At first, it had simply been about taking a walk to clear his head, but now as so often happened, he had slid almost without thinking into the world of Mementos.
