Girafarig (at least to me) has always been one of those Pokemon that's just... there. And then Farigiraf is announced. That freaky-cute fluffernutter stole my heart immediately. I was struck by the urge to draw one and to make a Pokemon Scarlet/Violet related pfp, at a time when work had left me too tired to do the usual render. So I goofed around with the lighting. Could absolutely have turned out better, but I had fun.
Every year on Christmas Eve, my grandparents on my mom's side give me pajamas, and every year since I started posting my art online, I draw my 'sona wearing those pajamas. I figured I'd try a simplified silly style in the vein of TerminalMontage this time around. I don't think I captured quite the same vibe, but I'm happy with it anyway.
Wanted to do a piece for spooky season, but I wanted something that wouldn't take super long because I'm also working on other stuff. So I went for something smol and silly, like comparing a cup of coffee to a witch's brew. Fun stuff.
I guess I'm gonna be spending the first few months of 2021 updating everything, huh? Anyway, I've been using the same avatar since late 2018, and I felt it was high time I updated it to better reflect my current skill level. The previous version was rather static, and didn't fill the space very well (meaning that what little detail there was got squished down beyond recognition at profile pic size). This time around, I went for something similar, but more dynamic, and tried to bring out the animalistic aspects of my 'sona more by showing the teeth and adjusting the position of the ears. Whether I succeeded in doing so, I'm not sure, but the whole thing is generally an improvement over the previous one regardless. Let me know what you think!

Happy Halloween in quarantine! Photoshop has decided for reasons unknown that it doesn't like my GPU or something, so this year's seasonal piece is a vector. I knew I wanted to do something freakier than my usual work, since a lot of what I make is a little on the cutesy side. There's nothing wrong with cute stuff, but I do have some darker interests as well, and I feel like I've neglected that side of myself artistically. So yeah, have a vector of my 'sona with like a million teeth.
Every year on Christmas Eve, my grandparents on my mom's side of the family send me and my brother pajamas, and every year since I first started posting my art online, I post a doodle of my avatar in my new pajamas. Last year was polar bears, this year is penguins.
I missed Halloween this year. I'd planned on having something spooky uploaded on time, but art classes don't plan for your plans. On the bright side, candy corn went on sale for a dollar a bag afterwards, which was awesome. As for what would have been this year's Halloween piece, while it is thematically fitting, it is by no means exclusive to the season. I'm still gonna complete that one and post it as soon as I can, so stay tuned!
