Department of Mysteries Priority Notice: July 15th, 2000
Attention all agents sectors one to twelve,
A replacement for Agent Pegasus has been recruited from the pool of this year's Hogwarts graduates following the standard covert aptitudes test. New trainee Agent has been assigned codename Delta, and has been informed of his successful completion of the Test. Due to the exceptional circumstance of Agent Delta's known participation in the battle of Hogwarts, he will begin training in sector five, clearance level Rosewater.
As per standard procedure, all agents are to keep mum on the particulars of the first stage of training. Agents Red and Pearl will direct operations.
[1] Agent Sparrow's Notes: The first stage of training for new recruits involves a highly disorienting stint in the Lycanthropy Timelock chamber. Inaugurated by Arsenius Giltfeather's successor, Arondella Frothwhite, the chamber boasts the rare property of triggering werewolf transformation on command irrespective of the lunar calendar. One of Red's pet projects (a Lycanthrope test subject pulled from a High-security Azkaban cell and subjected to repeated transformation so as to remove the wolf's claws and teeth, a highly painful and protracted process) is thrown into the room with the trainee. The object is to deduce the spell to deactivate the Lunar Timelock magic cast upon the room.
Trainee Agents average three hour to complete the test. Except for Pegasus, who did it in eighteen minutes.
At the recommendation of Bluebell, will keep a distant watch over Agent Delta, whose personal losses incurred during the battle of Hogwarts may come to affect his approach to the work.
