A sick, smooth flow paired with a poppy, catchy synthpop sensibility. Im reminded of early SZA, Kali Uchis, or Abra but with a sleek, Skepta-esque delivery. Her stuff glows with femme sexuality, among other things, but it doesnt pander to the male gaze. Likewise, her candid stories of fighting hwt way through a working class upbringing to make a living as a musician will likely resonate with anyone whos ever dreamt of being a professional artist, especially if you arent wealthy to begin with.
