I don't think he is genderless, I think he is gay and if any of the rumors on the internet are true, he is not sexless and knows how to use sex to advance his career. The point is we don't know, he does indeed create a lot of suspense and intrigue by omission and it can be in fact a clever marketing ploy. Sure there are people who are truly genderless and non-binary but we don't know if AP is one of them, the mystery is what draws money and attention to him.
