Weaving her way through the crowded city streets, the dancer tried to catch sight of something familiar. Something that signified she was on the right path.
The circus had just stopped in a new city-- one she wasn’t familiar with. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue, as she often knew how to find her way back, but it seemed during her exploration that the map she’d been carrying had been lost. And her phone struggled for life. With only a few hours left until their first show, she began to turn to passers-by for some direction, only they seemed intent on brushing her off or simply ignoring her completely.
A cab, she mused, would be able to get her home and on time, but there didn’t seem to be one in sight. Even so, she hadn’t brought quite enough money to be able to afford one.
As if to make matters worse, it’d begun to rain. With an irritated huff, she ducked beneath a nearby tree and closed her eyes, attempting to both block unwelcome memories and clear her mind. There had to be something familiar around here. Something she could use to find her way back....
