As usual, Afrikatown are throwing a BIG BLOCK PARTY to celebrate our community and neighbors and the fact that we are sticking to our promise to fight gentrification in Oakland. The Afrika Town Community Garden is a community garden by and for the people in West Oakland. The garden nourishes the local community with fresh produce and medicine, and is teaching people cooperative self-sufficiency and self-determination.
