Can we talk Tribe? For those of you who have been with us since day one know that We have been selling kente bomber jackets since 2015, frankly back then when @mia_anyinke designed them for @tribesofkin were the only ones that had it. Fast forward to fall 2018 when Dashiki Pride recently started selling theirs and the messages started coming in from inquiring customers wanting to know why our bomber jackets cost more than theirs do. Here is the answer, we handmade our bomber jackets and all other garments with lots of love and with top quality kente fabrics that it sourced from throughout the continent of Africa. We take pride in paying our employees a living wage and our bomber jackets are padded for warmth with top quality fibers, not made in a Chinese factory and definitely not with slave labor involved. Also we have perfected the design throughout the years. We understand that thiis is America and capitalism is real. Being in the fashion business is frustrating because people love knock offs and designers love knocking others designers off but The truth is that have you ever thought about how and who makes your clothes.
