“You know I hate mint” he said, shuddering. “I know! That’s why I brushed my teeth before you got here.” They laughed brightly. “God, you piss me off sometimes” the male next to them scuffed, motioning them to get closer to him. “It’s cold, come here.” The other person nodded, shifting around on the cold ground to sit in the males lap. He wrapped his arms around them, the blanket that was wrapped around them acted like a shield against the brisk air.
It stayed like that for awhile; nobody talking, just indulging in the peaceful quietness fall had to bring them both. The warmth the blanket provided, on top of eachothers warmth and comfort, they seemed to almost doze off. There was a rustle. It was first thought to be just a pile of leaves moving with the wind, but the sound sounded much softer, and a lot closer. They looked behind themselves to see the male looking at them. His eyes are so beautiful, they thought. He got closer, leaning in to kiss their lovers lips. Soft, smooth…warm. He moved his mouth close to their ear as his hands caressed their face, lifting it up to meet his gaze. “Even though you still taste like mint,” he said in between kisses, his warm breath and the lack of oxygen created a red hue to fall on the others face. “I’ll continue to kiss you.” He stated with one last kiss, nuzzling his head back down into the crook of their neck. “Why?”
