parasitic isopods are pretty neat am i right. those in the family cirolanidae suck the blood of fish, whereas those in the family aegidae will eat the fish's fins and tail, before sucking out all of its blood and discarding the skeleton and guts. aegids are soooooo interesting to me actually. other kinds of the same family will attach themselves to larger fish and attach themselves to a large blood vessel. from here they will drain the fish, where it will remain while eating its tissue and draining its blood, until it swims away once its done. also funfact aegidae show very little sexual dimorphism
