1. Are there any restrictions on content or types of ship allowed? Does this event allow NSFW?

There are no content or ship restrictions! Artists are required to appropriately tag their claims sketches to ensure everyone knows what to expect. Final works must have SFW previews (artistic & written) in order to be rebageled by the BLRB account, and works posted on AO3 must be tagged. BLRB is an all ages event and participants working on NSFW or mature content must be 18+

2. What happens if I find it hard to work with the person I'm paired with?

Mods are available to help facilitate any issues that may arise during the creation process. We encourage participants to use the provided collaboration channels and ask that everyone communicates in a timely manner. Remember, this is a collaboration event, so working together is a must.

3. I usually collaborate on writing fics with a friend. Can one of us write a fic for one art pitch individually, but also co-write a second fic on a different art pitch together, if the second pitch speaks to both of us?

Co-writers are welcome! During the sign-up period, you can sign-up as individual writers and indicate you may co-write with another participant (include their name on your sign-up). When writer claims come around, you may rank your claims as individuals OR as co-writers, but not both an individual and a co-writing pair.

4. Are OCs allowed?

OCs are allowed as side characters, not the main focus of your piece.

5. Are artist pitches meant to be focused on their vision for the piece they'll create, or is it a pitch for the fic they imagine pairing with it?

A bit of both! Artist pitches, alongside the sketches, will describe the image and include a prompt or context. This way, it should be open ended enough for writers to be inspired but not constrained to a specific kind of fic.
