Sometimes kayaks are like celebrities, you just have to take their picture when you get the chance to 🤷🏼♀️ 📍Monaco 🚣🏻♀️ AdvancedFrame Kayak

Marco Perez-Page, Spain
Last Spring (2017) AE Ambassador Marco Perez-Page traveled with a friend to the Balearic Islands of Spain to paddle it’s rugged coastline in two AdvancedFrame kayaks…a trip he hopes to repeat this Spring.
The following is his story:
The Balearic Islands of Spain are one of the most visited tourist destinations in the Mediterranean and last year received 14 million foreign tourists, but in its 1200 kilometers of coastline there are still wild places of great beauty.
In the Spring of last year I went for a week with a friend to the Northwest area of Mallorca. There, the whole coast is very steep. The mountains drop 800m to the sea creating some of the highest cliffs of the Mediterranean Sea.
The stone is limestone and there are numerous caves and canyons that reach the sea.
During our kayak trip there was a lot of wind and waves so we decided to finish the tour halfway at the mouth of the Torrent de Pareis (Pareis Canyon)
We paddled towards the interior of the canyon through some lagoons that form the river at its lowest part, we dismounted the kayaks and hid them in a cave to walk the canyon on foot.
The canyon is one of the most beautiful in Spain and its 9km long walk is the best trekking that can be done on the island (Outside the rainy season)
I hope to return to Mallorca with the kayaks this Spring.
Best regards
Marco

One way to get the most out of life is to look upon it as an adventure 🙂🙃🙂🙃 📍Southport 🚣🏻♀️ AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite Kayak
Will Jelbert, New York
Thought you might be interested in this just to show how versatile the Airfusion Elite is…I took it on a helicopter to Diomede in Alaska and then kayaked along the US Russia border / international date line last Tuesday. The kayak was exceptionally stable in the surf and very quick against some of the most treacherous currents in the world.
Having put the kayak to the test I am excited about putting my trust in it on future outings!
Paddling Alaska
Molly Rard - Sail Alaska
I have been a fan of Advanced Elements products for ten years now, but until recently I have only used one of their kayaks. Not one model of kayak – one single boat has taken me on adventures since I was twelve years old. I got my 10 ½ ft. orange AdvancedFrame when my family set out on a sailing adventure through the South Pacific, and I beat it up in the sun and sand, routinely filling it with saltwater when I decided to swim instead of paddle. It was the perfect kayak to have on board, because I could stow it inflated on deck or folded in its bag in the sail locker. By the end of two years, it was a bit sun-faded, but no holes! My parents’ business, Marine Servicenter, sells Advanced Elements products, so I got to see new kayak models when I helped show them off at boat shows. But my little orange boat was always my favorite.
As a (kind of lazy) high-schooler, I would paddle around the local pond, sometimes leave my trusty kayak out in the rain, and take it apart to scrub the algae out of it when I remembered I actually did want it to last a few more years. Then my dad, Jim Rard, started the Sail Alaska trips up the Inside Passage and, while helping him, I had a whole new area to explore. I would get groups of sailors together in their kayaks to take trips out to rocky beaches or into tidal lagoons and, one amazing year, I even found a hollowed-out iceberg to paddle through. We got so many great pictures of kayak adventures that Brett, a company representative, decided I should have a newer model. That way Advanced Elements could show off a nicer-looking boat in all the great places I was able to take it!
Now I am on the 2016 Sail Alaska trip, and we have five (yes, we love these boats) Advanced Elements kayaks onboard including my new bright green 10 ½ ft. AdvancedFrame. It fits me, and our sailboat, just as well as my old one did. I love the new lightweight paddle, and though they are small in size, the Velcro paddle straps are the biggest improvement for getting my kayak in and out of the water from the deck of the boat. The new kayak tracks even better, and the upper deck fabric is easier to clean. We have only been out for a few weeks, so I am excited to take it on more adventures in the month to come!
