The poll made me realise I could connect it a little to the stuff that I have in their lore.
In my canon, Adranakaal is dead and Zaroth actually misses him a lot. Outside, he doesn't show it much, yet inside, he is shattered and it's hard for him to realize that the only one he cared about is gone.
The loneliness actually is destroying him from the inside.
Adranakaal here is just an illussion, a memory from the past. He doesn't exist anymore. He lives only in Zaroth's mind.
So here, have a small piece of Zaroth remembering his beloved father and his reaction to the fact, that people loves him more.
And He knows, that Adranakaal would be very proud of him achieving such thing.
