“Are you sure it’s edible papa?”Mitsu had her face pressed against the oven, watching as the strange new dishcooked. Her mass of blue hair was pulled up in a tight little bun so it didn’tget everywhere as she helped Borsalino make dinner. It never ended well withthe two of them in the kitchen, and even as a child Mitsu knew when to becautious of such things. Still, her father seemed so sure…

“Sweetie I am positive.” Borsalinosmiled down at his child, and in his moment of distraction almost cut himselfmaking their dessert. It was perhaps the fifth time he had almost injuredhimself during this little endeavor. The smell of pumpkin filled the kitchenand it mixed oddly with another scent that Mitsu couldn’t recognize at thatmoment.

“But it’s leaking.” The pie was, infact, leaking out of its container in the oven, the sides oozing out slowly ina weird yellow mash.

“It’s supposed to do that.” I think…Borsalino wasn’t actually sureWHAT corn pie was supposed to look like. Or why they were making it. They hadset out to make some turkey sandwiches originally, but now there was a corn piein the oven and he was working on making a pumpkin pie. At least this one didn’tinvolve baking… or does it? What were theinstructions? Eh it’ll be fine.

After another thirty minutes thecorn pie was done, Mitsu sat on the counter looking down at her plate of foodmash. That was the only way to describe it really, the corn pie was slowlyseeping into the pumpkin pie and some strange green substance that was also onher plate. Her father kept assuring her it was broccoli but to the child itlooked more like over-done spinach. Hesitantly she poked the top of the cornpie, which was the only solid thing about the dish, and caused more of thesomehow liquid interior to seep out. “Is the top supposed to be black? And… therest so squishy?”

“Ehhh… yes… it is!” Borsalino puton a wide smile as he looked down at his own plate of food mash, trying tosummon the courage to take even one bite. This was not what he had set out tomake in the slightest, but it should be fine. At least he and Mitsu got to makesomething together. Though from the child’s face she did not see it that way atall.

“Hhhhhmmmm….” The child stared atthe ‘meal’ reluctantly. At this point she was positive that prisoners at ImpelDown got better food than she did when Borsalino cooked. She just stared athim, waiting for him to take a bite, as though he would find the poison andtell her about it first.

“Well, go on, it’s good!” As muchas the monkey insisted Mitsu noticed that he wasn’t taking a single bite andwas just waiting for her to act first. She narrowed her eyes at the man andfrowned, nope, she was not buying it.

           At thatmoment front door opened and in walked Sakazuki, looking as angry and worn outas always after work. He heaved a sigh and took his coat off, before he noticedthe strange smell that permeated the house.

           “Daaaaaddd!!!Papa’s trying to poison me!!!”

That explains the smell. Sakazukitook a few steps into the house and saw Mitsu sitting on the counter lookingincredibly scared of the food that was in front of her. Seeing the plate of…what he could only assume was supposed to be lasagna and peach cobbler, hecouldn’t entirely blame her.

“Oh it’s not that bad see!”Borsalino took an overly confident bite. It was quite the show really, watchingthe older admiral’s face go from happy to fidgety, the color draining from himas he tried to choke down the bite. Mitsu and Sakazuki watched with expressionsof fascination and irritation, one would think after all this time he’d learn.Eventually the man of light gave up and fled to the trash can, spitting out thehorrible concoction.

Without another word Mitsu lookedtowards her other father. “Can we order pizza dad? Please?”

I'm not terribly sure what other sort of friends would work but I saw that Ruhka is a techie and a sky pirate, and Lejo's interested in being a techie and lives with some sky pirates, so I feel like there'd be some common ground there? idk I am very bad at reaching out for RP stuff but if you ever want to please feel free to hit me up!
