Just a little update as we roll into the check-in date this weekend. The check in is set for Sunday January 30th. At this point in the event, weād like you to show us if you've started your gift. If you haven't started, weād like if you could please confirm if you have an idea of what you'd like to create. For the check-in process, Jess and I would like you all to send us your progress or idea for your creation. You can do this by either sending a DM to either Jess (@acklesology) or Bex (@starrynightdeancas), or you can send an ask to this spn valentines sideblog (@spnvalentines) or send an ask to either Jess or Bex.
For the check in: if you're writing a fic or poetry, you can send a google docs link or screenshot or tell us what you plan to write. If it's an art/edit/gif, you can send us a screenshot or sample of what you've created so far or again tell us what you plan to make. For a playlist, you can tell us what songs you're starting to pick or again show us a screenshot of what you've chosen so far. And if you're making a fanvid, you can tell us what you're doing or send us a screenshot to show us that you're working on the video.
Please complete the check-in by Wednesday February 2nd. If you donāt check in by this date, weāll unfortunately have to excuse you from the event and reassign your partner to someone else so that a pitch hitter can have some time to make a last minute gift.Ā

Howdy! I was wondering if there's a specific time on the 14th that we shouldn't post our gift before? Like, for example, the soonest to post would be 6am in so and so time zone. Does that make sense?
Hiya! Nope, thereās no specific time for posting on the 14th. Due to everyone being in lots of different time zones, itās really hard to set just one specific time. So what weāre doing is, as long as itās the 14th for you (as the one whoās posting) you can post your gift at any time! It can be morning, afternoon, or evening - as long as the date is the 14th whenever you are in the world!
Just make sure when you post your gift to @ your secret partner in the gift and let them know you were their secret Cupid for the event! <3
Is it okay if we change our gift idea after sending our check in? I just thought of something that would work way better than what I sent in
hi nonnie! yes absolutely, you are free to change your idea as much as you want. the check-in is more just to make sure people have got ideas flowing and to make sure people are on track to post for Valentineās Day. itās just about checking to make sure people are still invested in participating in the event, but you can absolutely change and alter your idea and do anything you want!
