all i feel is steel and glass.

the concrete mechanisms of an urban plaza,

deserted, demonstrably dark

where people go to have their dreams extinguished.

your eyes remind me of ice, snow, and the lapping water of a tiny stream

your lips are sun-kissed beaches and the flavour of grapefruit in the morning

sometimes, your expression renders me as nostalgic as a vintage diner, but refreshed like frost clinging to grass

I would even say that your smile can make my heart beat a steady forté, but my eyelashes would stay piano

and when you laugh, your breathing shortens, quickens, becoming more brief... but time slows, becomes just an abstract thought, soaring away from every other thought to collide with the atmosphere and come raining down in millions of fragments, creating a world as littered as ever.
