That is a little bit of a complicated question. We are going to say yes for right now but this may change in the future, depending on the feedback we get. Just keep in mind that we prefer to keep as canon as possible with the content that is given to us and we encourage you to be creative in the way you incorporate that into backstories.

How does the gender bending work? Do we become the face claims? Singers or actors or whoever? Or what happens?
The same way it does with applying characters! They simply change, instantaneously or after waking up, into the opposite gender. You just share similar features with the face claims, you don’t actually become the face claims–if that’s what you’re asking?
Of course the gender aspects can’t be turned off or on the way that powers do. You’ll have to remain in the body and then forcibly changed back into your proper gender when the event is over.

What should I do if the parents I want are already taken but by someone who's been inactive for over two weeks? should I just wait till the next activity check? (and it's fine if that's not for a while, I'm sure the admins are super busy especially with the event coming up ^^)
Hello! We’ll be doing our first activity check over the weekend and that will probably be finalised/posted on Sunday when all the admins are available. You’re free to wait until then if you want! If not, send us a message off anonymous and we can sort it all out right now.
With her wand missing, Fairy God Mother is unable to maintain the magic that keeps Elias Academy safe. There’s a glitch in the system and soon enough a loophole builds within the isle until, eventually, the entire thing goes up in smoke.
Children of animals revert back to their original forms, mutant powers are no longer kept secret and dark magic knows no barriers.

Details:
The event will run for exactly one week from 15th-22nd of May. We’ve allocated a week to at least start a plot and you are free to complete them at any time thereafter.

Within the roleplay timeline it will only go for five hours from 4PM to 9PM on Friday the 15th of May. After that time The Academy will revert back to controlled magic.
All powers exist within the roleplay. From Maleficent to the Cheshire Cat to even Superheroes, all abilities will be available for use.
For those that do not have any powers: you are free to participate in a gender bending activity we’ve set up. For a day your character becomes the opposite gender. Any person, any fandom, any race is free to be chosen as long as they aren’t already taken on the masterlist (Admin Athos seems very adamant about turning Eloise into Harry Styles so please stay tuned for that). This particular aspect is not to be taken too seriously as we, the admins, view it as a fun, sort of dumb alternative.
This is a completely optional event and made simply for the purpose of having fun. The RP has previously done two sort-of serious events and while they were enjoyable the admins thought it was time to have one that you guys didn’t have to take too seriously.
This also provides an opportunity to begin the hero vs villain struggle. Those that wish to wreck havoc during this event will need to keep in mind the following rules however:
Simple tricks are okay but do not hurt another character unless you have plotted with them beforehand.
The more triggering plots will need to come to the attention of the admins (attempted murder, throwing someone that isn’t Lucifer and can regenerate off a building, etc)
No randomly created powers. They must keep in line with your characters backstory and history.
Mutant powers, The Force, superpowers all come into play here also.
Please, please, please be as respectful of another person’s character as you are your own. Do not have your character do anything that would make the other uncomfortable. If you are unsure make sure to ask them if it’s okay!
