do you want us to make a new blog for the multi-muse, or can we convert one of our other ones?

it is completely up to you! if you feel more comfortable keeping your blog and renovating it, you are free to do that, but if it is better for you to start fresh, that works too!

if i convert a blog, can i keep the url or should i change it?

this is also up to you-- if you change your url, though, let us know.

what sort of things should i use for the url?

anything you’d like! you can use your name, like i did-- character names, song lyrics, aesthetic stuff. anything! as long as you have the ‘rv’ in the title somewhere, you’re good.

is there going to be a new system for applying for new characters?

no-- applications will remain exactly the same.

how will follow/unfollows work?

if it is a single muse-blog, exactly the same. for multi muse blogs, we will still make posts, but instead of telling to follow, we will just make a post stating that a character has been added to a specific blog. for unfollows, we will make a post making that clear as well, and all threads with that character will be dropped.

do we have to make a separate page for each muse?

no, you can have a general directory, so long as you (at the very least) link to the bios on the company pages, so people who want to plot with you can get familiar with your character if need be.

can we keep old threads from our original blogs going?

yep! that is completely allowed!

does the starter rule apply per character, or per blog!

We may be wrong, but we figured a lot of the lag on the dash had to do with the fact that most people have many characters and it is overwhelming to get online and do replies for all of them, and thought that maybe having all the characters in the same place might be easier to keep track of, but also easier to do replies and stay on top of things.

You do not have to switch over to a multi-muse blog if you do not want to. If you are more comfortable and confident keeping things separate, then we do not want to stifle you. We are just keeping this as an option for members who do want to do it. 

You can see an example of a multi-muse blog here. While there are currently no posts, all of the pages are up and running, and the tagging system is in place. 

With this new system comes a new set of rules. Activity limits on multi-muse blogs will be a maximum of two weeks for the blog as a whole, but we will be keeping track of every character you have on these blogs, to make sure none are getting neglected. Each character will have the standard month to be active, and I will be checking multi-muse blogs regularly to be sure all characters are active. The blog-wide activity limit may be tweaked in the future.

If you are picking up a character on a multi-muse blog, or moving your characters to a multi-muse blog, you need to be just as active as you must be on a regular blog. We realize there will be some characters you use more than others, but this is not a green flag to hoard fcs and positions while being active with other characters.

To make this work, you will need a very clear tagging system, as well as a page making that system clear, so it is easier for the admins to keep tabs on your characters. Here is an example, however you do not need to use the same tagging system as I do.

As for URLs, you can use whatever you would like, as long as it has the standard ‘rv’ in the url somewhere. I used my name, but that is not required.

We recognize that many members of the RP have aliases and characters under alias, so we are throwing out the character limit. You can drop aliases and have all of your characters on your multi-muse if you would like.

If anyone has any questions or concerns, please direct them to the main or to one of the admins. If you are planning on making the switch to multi-muse, please message the main about that as well! Please like this once you have seen it, so we can make sure everyone has.

There isn’t currently one, however if enough members show interest in having one, I don’t see a problem with making one!

Recently there have been some problems and trends I have been noticing regarding activity and I would like to address them. While I increased the activity limit a while back-- and that, in general, was a good idea-- it seems to me that people have been starting to abuse it.

Even with a bigger activity limit, you need to be active. Posting one reply every month is not activity. Going on hiatus and disappearing for longer than you told us you would be gone, only to do one or two replies is not activity. If you need a hiatus, by all means, let us know, but you need to give the admins an end date, and you need to be aware that if you go over that end date, we will unfollow you.

If you don’t have more than one or two replies in your activity, answer starters. Make starters for other people-- if you scroll down the dash, you will see plenty of examples of people starting threads off the cuff to get activity up. I promise you, no one will mind being tagged in starters.

I will be messaging people who’s activity has been concerning me, but at the end of the day, you are FC hoarding. You are holding on to FCs and positions that other people could be using and enjoying while you disappear for months on end only to come back and do one reply, and that is not okay. 

The admin team will start unfollowing people who show a trend of doing this.

I’d love to see members of Gate 9 or Momoland in that spot, or perhaps some Laboum members too!
