[Emerald would immediately shut down, barely getting time to let out a warning signal before systems stopped entirely.]

[Admin Emerald would be incredibly suspicious about this trade, especially about the Kors. Emerald never stated that they had the Kors up for trade as of late, aside from when the first message was sent; but even then it was removed about a day later! Unless one of the hunters had forgotten...]

[Phi and Antov are still chained up but under heavy sedation. They can’t recall where they are, let alone which form they’re in. Admin Emerald has been busy studying them and their powers via the Deathbringer staff, but has yet to make any sort of headway in where the Korbloxians could be hiding.]

[In the meantime, Admin Nebula has taken some time to visit a different base, likely to pick up supplies and to interact with their friends. As per hunter orders and commandments, they’re not to speak about the Korbloxian hunter team or other admins on said team.]

[She’d pull up her terminal, watching the local admin chats. All of them were silent, with one listener. Her.]

[Tears would well up in her eyes, wanting to rid herself of her Korbloxian blood and magic so she could just be a true Admin.]

I hate this...

[She’s unaware of footsteps approaching her, as well as the quiet click of a dart gun being loaded, aimed, and fired. She’d flinch at the sudden impact of the needle into her thigh, her terminals fizzling out as she became increasingly weak. A faint green light coated the walls, so Phi instantly knew who it was.]

They should know better than pardoning all species for their crimes, especially the Korbloxians. The admins will become obsolete and powerless, then who will protect the innocent from those monsters?

Nobody.

[Of course, they’re unaware of what type of experimentation they’ll be having today... But they’re bound to find out soon.]

[Outside the testing chamber, Admin Emerald and her coworker, Admin Nebula, are currently inspecting a rather... Icy staff. Black feathers adorn the sides and deep blue magic runs through the staff, the top of the staff decorated with a monstrous skull with a deep blue orb stuffed into its mouth. It’s a Deathbringer staff, the staff that can control any Korbloxian as long as the Korbloxian could be controlled. Doesn’t apply to Deathbringers, luckily!]

[Admin Emerald would grab the staff, feeling its dark energy quickly rush up her arm. Nebula would keep tabs on her health and mental state, just in case Emerald is slipping. The two would enter the testing chamber, Phi and Antov quickly backing away upon seeing the staff.]

[Emerald would quickly raise the staff, a bright blue beam connecting between the staff and the two Korbloxians. Their eyes would become fully blue, soon entering a snarling, aggressive state but refusing to harm either admin within the chamber due to Emerald’s alignment.]

Wow... It actually works!

Mm...

So... What next..? Send the two to the higher ranks for further testing or..?

No Korbloxian is “good,” citizen. They put on a false facade of kindness and, when you least expect them to, they turn an entire town into ice shamblers. As for the “girlfriend” of “Phi,” Korbloxians can easily utilize their magic to manipulate the innocent. She’s likely under a spell of some kind.

[Emerald looks into the cell Phi is being held. Phi glares up at Emerald, tears welling up in her eyes. Scoffing, Emerald would look away.]

[One decides to respond. This is Admin Emerald (codenamed, of course) of the Korbloxian Hunters Corps.]

We’ve had reports of two distinct Korbloxians wandering the grounds near 87B, capable of shape shifting, mimicking two Admins who were defeated in Harrow’s Pass. We don’t want their kind to return, let alone release critical information on base locations, Admin types, and current leadership. It’s all for precaution and for the safety of the people.
