And then literally one month later on March 25, 2025, we’re getting a comic where Mai and Zuko face cultural issues in the Fire Nation after the war, worry how it will impact the younger generation, and work together to break the chain? And we’ll probably see a peak of their dynamic as both leaders and parents?

The movement had him on alert and Roland stilled, turning towards what he saw, or thought he saw. He supposed he could've predicted the tell tale click that would come next and the stake. There was more than enough time to move and get out of the way but what would that prove? What would it solve? These attacks had gone on interminably and as yet he couldn't see anyone to make another baseless accusation against. He hadn't known he was going to make the decision he came to in that split second until he made it but Roland stood his ground and let the stake hit him, exactly where it was intended to. Kaj's blood was in his system, it was exactly the reason he'd been drinking from the familiar, and he would (hopefully) self resurrect quite quickly. As the murderer clearly intended to take his daylight ring, if he thought he'd killed him and Roland awakened suddenly, perhaps he'd actually see who it was or at least get some clues to solve this mystery. It was a risk, but a calculated one.

So Roland was staked.

It was surprisingly quick, a sudden, blinding, piercieng pain and a rush of dark and cold as his eyes closed and his body fell where it was struck, leaves crunching underneath him as he hit the ground. Pale skin went ashen as he lay unmoving. A minute ticked by. Another.

The stake was ejected suddenly, the ashen colour leaking away from his skin and Roland's eyes flew open as he regained his senses, everything rushing back to him as he sat up suddenly. There was a figure who had been close to him, who clearly hadn't counted on his revival, that fled as soon as the stake was gone but Roland absorbed as many details of their fleeing form as he could, even sprang forward with super speed to try and catch them but they'd vanished into the trees. Roland cursed and rubbed the already closing hole in his chest.

I posted it because today is the Polish National Day of Memory of Cursed Soldiers.  It is a day to honor the memory of the 50,000+ Polish heroes (sometimes called the cursed or damned soldiers) who after trying to save their family and country from genocide were slaughtered by the Soviet government, often times in public executions to terrorize the already cripple local population. Many of these people first joined underground army to fight against the Nazi extermination and enslavement of Poles and many even saved Jews but when the Soviet soldiers invaded Poland and began raping, pillaging, slaughtering Polish people they had to try to fight them to protect their family and neighbors. Of course, it’s not like the Allies or the rest of the world couldn’t be bothered to care about the lives of some snow n*ggers and k*kes so they sat on their ass and broke bread with Stalin and told him he could have Poland and the rest of Eastern Europe. 

So if you haven’t noticed, I reblogged what was then a single post to commemorate their memory and spread awareness of the grave injustice my nation suffered from.

Also, I haven’t exactly run out of ideas about Izumi. In fact, I was planning to make a post today but something came up that could determine my future so I’d much rather spend tonight getting ready for that than making a JFLIT post. I always have tomorrow evening if I wanted.

But it’s almost like there are other reasons that I haven’t been so active as I have before…like my laptop breaking on me and I now having to share a computer with three other people, working at my job at a bookstore, dealing with health problems I will suffer from for the rest of the my life, studying for the GRE, learning Ukrainian/Russian/German for grad school(which I hope to study early 20th century Eastern European history motherfuckers!), trying to find a full time job now that I have my BA, etc. 

You know, one of my internet friends also dealt with an anon who told her she couldn’t post anything other than symbolism about Avatar because of her username. I honestly don’t understand people who think a blog they follow should revolve around them and what they want. While my friend deleted the message before she could respond, I responded because it means adding more Polish history onto people’s dash! WOO WOO WOO!

As of right now my Admins life is getting a bit out if hand. She’s struggling to stay afloat. She apologizes for not being very active for the passed few days. Also she wants to thank everyone for their kind promotions and support. She wishes she could deliver what she owes to each of her new friends and followers but as of late that seems to be difficult. Admin will try to get her “shit together”, as she likes to put it, as fast as possible and rejoin everyone back here. She does apologize. We’ll both be back soon.
