Hey, ATWD fans, check this out -
- at 1:37 it's so obviously that JOYFUL MUSIC FROM OPENING SCENE OF And Then We Danced !!!!π
But then comes 2:00 and it's Gandagana* - the song you hear in the background of the last conversation between Merab and Irakli - the song about lovers that can't be together...π
Could it be that the film deliberately begins and ends with the same music/song??? - only with it's meaning turning from:
"the well known catchy song you like to dance to while not thinking much about"
into:
"the song that appears suddenly in the background only to comment in real time how your love-life just fucked up like it was some greek chorus in some fucking greek tragedy"
- ?!
(Okey, I know it might mean nothing... Being in Georgia I realized the two traditional georgian songs you can hear most often are Ratchuli* and Gandagana* - so yeah, it could be "coincidence". But then nothing seems meaningless nor accidental in ATWD so...)
