i am being so serious right now, this is now my new number one favourite movie. media period. im not gonna spoil anything, because he asked us to not do that, so i wont. BUT IM BEING INCREDIBLY GENUINE WHEN I SAY THIS :

when i go through a media, like lego monkie kid, genshin impact, the avengers, or six crimson cranes, i can never bring myself to repeat those. i dont like repeating things ive already seen and know about. its annoying to me. however, there are some exceptions to this : moon knight (tv), undertale and lies of p, the deadpool trilogy, the hobbit, the sea beast, and john wick movies, the trials of apollo, magnus chase, hell followed with us, the dead house, and the great gatsby. but my rewatches and replays and rereads are few in between as well. but i still do it because i love those medias so much.

now, iron lung, i think, is a different story all together now. because i saw it opening weekend, IMMEDIATELY needed and wanted to see it right after the credits pulled up, and i saw it again the other day. and i wanted to, once more, see it again right afterwards.

this may not seem like such a big deal to anyone else, but it is to me. this movie has become important to me in a way that i cannot explain. i walked in that theatre, opening day, expecting an amazing film by mark, and i walked out with something so much better than that. but theres something else, too.

with every media i consume, i, of course, read fanfics in those fandoms. but with iron lung? i couldnt. i tried yesterday after my second watch, but i just didnt like any of them. none of them felt right. reading fics of this didnt feel right to me. because, to me, this movie is already perfect. theres nothing in it that i wouldnt want to be changed. no matter what.
