So this is for Sleepover Friday, but I like this guy, right? I have for a few years, through Marching band, and it was okay. I was okay with it being a crush. This past year, my Freshman friend moved up into band with us, and i introduced them since they were in the same section and stuff. It was all fine and dandy until she told me that she liked him. I was like 'Yeah that's cool.' because when i hear that a friend likes a guy i do, i kind of sacrifice my own happiness (1/2)
(2/2) for them and i know i shouldn't but i do. So they started dating and i was like eh but then she came to me two months later and was like 'I don't like him anymore so i'm gonna be a bad gf so he'll break up with me' and i just. I got so mad. And they had a really bad breakup, right? and this boy came to me, and broke down and i helped him and he was getting better until she started talking to him again recently and what do i do because i like him again and ugh. (was supposed to be on anon )
Ugh man that sounds like a really difficult situation. Liking the same person as a friend is always rough. I think you should try and date him, since the two of them have broken up. It sounds like this guy likes you as a person because he came to you after the breakup, so I definitely think it'd be worth a try. Good luck, I've heard from my musical friends that marching band dating drama is intense.
