Staring up at the night sky drinking a cup of coffee. It felt so weirdly normal to Takumi. Something like this happening back in the world of despair he knew was an impossibility. The two would have been shot down most places for someones personal despair. Was this the kind of thing friends did? Was Add even his friend? What⊠were friends again?
âHmmm⊠I canât say I do. I donât expect I left too big of an impact on anyone, so I donât think my existence would matter all that much⊠What about you? You seem to be thinking about it.â
The detective sipped at his coffee. Bitter. Disgustingly bitter. Sure, it fit his detective aesthetic, but it didnât really fit his taste buds. What kind of proper detective didnât have a few coffee stains? Oh well. His red gaze shifted over to look at his âfriendâ, staring with uncertainty of what to do. His free hand raised slowly, preparing to make the motion of patting Addâs back in comfort. And he stopped. Hopefully Add didnât notice as Takumi pulled his hand back to his side, averting his gaze and fiddling with the blades of grass beneath him.
âReputationâŠ? Does that really matter? Say what you want here. You and I areâŠâ The words got lost in his throat. You and I are friends, right? Were they? Detective Takumi could figure out the gruesome facts, but he still hardly understood the weird flood of emotions and relationships. ââŠc-cool, right? I have no reason to judge.â
  Smooth moves there detective.
