OTHER than that, i have a bare bones idea inspired by this fic, with spencer accepting a wedding invite from some good friends from college months prior before he and erica broke up. his friends never met erica, and he never told them they’d broken up, so when he gets a message from them looking forward to seeing him again and meeting his partner…you can see where i’m going with this :) fake dating shenanigans and everything is normal at the wedding itself, but the one weekend charade starts bleeding into their lives after they’re home. because, of course, they both want it to be reaaaaal!! there’s also a scene i wrote just the dialogue for that i probably won’t finish; it was kinda just a writing exercise for how spencer might figure out exploring his sexuality in his 30s

AND the big ticket one that i started working on several weeks before the reddit stories…tis hard to explain without spoiling so here’s the summary:

i’ve got 10k+ going already of tommy’s whole sexual frustration thing, spencer and erica’s breakup timeline, some tipsy new years accidental flirting, busyness of smosh move & life (promline MV production in the works, tommy being in Hitch!, etc) NOT at all helping with this dilemma…and many more moments ahead. the plan is to have spencer notice a lot more of tommy’s exhaustion & stress than anyone else does—not knowing why yet—and taking silent steps to help him out in small ways. it gets to the point where he brings it up to anthony and/or ian, especially because tommy is sharing socials director duties with pete and spencer notices more & more that being on camera seems to drain him. then anthony addresses it with tommy, they work out a more concrete plan for a work-life balance and deciding on hiring another socials team member, and whatnot—but tommy isn’t an idiot. he doesn’t bring it up to spencer, but he keeps an eye out, and he realizes how much spencer has been/is doing for him. when spencer checks in with him next, tommy is at his limit and spills the beans 🫦 dangerously not-platonic things happen!!!!
