Okay so this isn't fandom-specific but honestly as far as I've seen, no fandom is open or accepting of OCs as much as people would like to say they are. Everywhere you go, if your character isn't a part of the canon narrative, 9 times out of 10 people will ignore you. They'll try to interact with you, but end up neglecting you in the end. I've seen it everywhere. Some OCs get lucky but a lot of the time it's due to how the muns are known amongst other muns. But if you're a nobody it's unlikely your OC will be greatly recognized and revered like canons are.
