I read your Uhura post last night and it made me cry. Thank you so much for writing this it and sharing it with us; I think it's something fandom really needs to hear. Also I want you to know that I am a hardcore Kirk/Spock shipper, and after reading your post I no longer feel conflicted about my love for Uhura (especially reboot Uhura). Fannish love is complicated, and that's good. So thanks, I think you're super awesome. <3, ad astra.

It is SO EXTREMELY POSSIBLE to compartmentalize fannish feelings, or to resolve affections that seem like they ought to be in opposition. It's awesome that what I wrote has had any part in making that simpler for you. Get down with your Uhura love. <3
