Since I haven’t posted her on my blog yet, I figured what the heck, I’d offer my little vengeance elf out for Sharing Day.  I don’t have a picture, so, here we go~!

Appearance: 5'4" tall, wiry frame with very understated curves, 115 pounds.  Long, often unkempt black hair to her butt.  Pale peach skin, scarred in many places from wolf and bear wrestling.  Narrow black (not brown but black) eyes that often seem to absorb light into them.  Full, soft pink lips.  Elgar'nan vallaslin on her face, covering almost one entire side.  Tends to wear what she can find rather than bothering to go out and buy or make clothing for herself.  Being imprisoned meant mostly wearing Chantry clothes rather than anything else.

Personality: Originally vengeful and angry, now resigned to her fate at either being imprisoned the rest of her life or executed when Leliana tires of keeping her alive.  Hates humans, but is soft and kind to injured and lost animals, especially young ones.  Very strong believer in the Dalish religion and teachings.  Hates the Chantry, but will give them some respect for making skilled warriors.  Slowly leaning to trust others beyond herself and her now-slain packmates.  Suffers from PTSD.

Backstory: Adanne’s father was a Dalish hunter with the clan in the Brecilian Forest and her mother was the Lady, through a series of complicated events.  She lived away from the Dalish clan for some time, until the Warden came tromping in and returned the humans to themselves, then lived with her father in his clan.  Her father died to protect several of the clan’s curious children from shem, leading to her initial distrust and hatred of humans, which was only added to as time went on.  She made her own clan, away from her father’s people, as they either babied her (her father had some mental disabilities) or they treated her as if she were the second coming of her mother.  She made her clan with the last scraps of lycans who remained and the other “unwanted” Dalish children.  She was actually very happy…before more humans showed up and pretty much exterminated them.  Not at all happy with this, Adanne (at the tender age of about 14-15) put together an army, running a scorched earth policy across Ferelden in order to destroy the kingdom and teach a lesson to the other countries who might be thinking of messing with her and hers.  In time, she actually reached Denerim, nearly killing King Alistair and managing to kill the Hero of Ferelden before she was stopped and imprisoned in the Chantry - what was considered a “Fate Worse Than Death” for the very devout follower of the elfin gods.  As such, she attempted escape nearly every day and thus was moved from Chantry to Chantry.  She was also given time to think, her anger cooling very, very slowly until only distrust of humans remained.  And by the time she was moved into the dungeons of Starkhaven’s Chantry, she was filled mainly with regret for the hurts she had inflicted upon her army and those innocents she had killed; but, she was also still angry, still filled with hate toward the humans that had taken her from her own land.  She escaped her cell and nearly the walls five times that month.  And that was how she met Sebastian Vael, the Mythal to her Elgar'nan.
