Ā Patagonia is known for its beauty and tradition, taste and striking landscapes. Torres del Paine is a popular place visited by over 100,000 people each season. Patagonia has a lot of interesting things to do and wonderful walks and views to enjoy. There are a lot of history around ... Fernando de Magallanes discovered this lands years ago baptizing its channel as the Straits of Magellan. Agricultural activities are common in these lands. There are places like Rio Verde, Skyring Sound, Tierra del Fuego, and many others where the lamb's wool production for export. The cultivation activities have become more and more interesting and not easy to enjoy watching these activities unless you are a person with respect to a farm. But there are some rooms open to the public so you can visit and see how they work or a representation of how a typical estancia or farm works. I have bee in Seno Skyring make some photographs for a client and was very beautiful. Feel the contact with animals and people, just great! I enjoyed the visit of The Shed, a resort near Punta Arenas, which represent the typical farming activities like sheep shearing, short trekking trails to know the flora and tasting the flavor of " ; on the stick "style roast lamb. This is really the best meat I have ever tasted. We can cook lamb at home, but the taste of the traditional roasted lamb cooked in the fire with a long stick that makes me feel like going back soon. The Warehouse was established in 1920 as the milk of Bellavista Farm. Dick Thomas led in the 50's and today, keeping its original structure has been transformed into "The Shed", a meet to enjoy the traditional cuisine of the Patagonia. Fine Chilean handicraft items such as clothing, sheep and llama wool can be purchased and a regional music group that sings and dances shows the typical Chilean folklore and there is a video where you can learn from Magallanes was settled. He also enjoyed a panoramic view of Punta Arenas, the Straits of Magellan, Tierra del Fuego and the Cordillera Darwin, and have seen the most representative species of grass, shrubs, flowers and trees of the Patagonia.
